Hey, all

This is my first time blogging on the bus while going for an event. Not that bad, doing it on the bus but is quite shaken.

This week was really a wonderful and fruitful one as I took my students to attend THUIMUN Singapore 2007 at Hwi Chong. You all may be wondering what is that. Is actually a United Nation Model Conference whereby young students will debate about certain issues pertaining to the world and suggested resolution to solve it.

Mr Malvin Lim and I have been training the students for the event. I took the delegates of Mauritius and they comprised of Xiang Yu, Crystal, William, Hui Wei, Heng Jing and Sherliyn. We are suppose to familiar ourselves with the country and also the issues given to us to solve. Overall, we went into different committee to discuss in their different issues.

The first day was lobbying. They were supposed to meet up with other delegates from other countries to get them to join their resolution.

The second day started the debating session. Most of them got to do Point of Information (ask delegate question). Not only that, we also got people going up to the talk about their resolution. It was one time experience all of they will never forget.

The third day was both debating and Dinner and Dance in the Zoo (at night). We all went over to Newton Station to catch a charter bus to the Zoo. It was the first time we went into the Zoo at night. It was interested.... it was a long walk to the restaurant. The food were really nice.... from Fried Rice, Satay...... ice-cream..... of course, the dance, it is held in an air-con rm... loud music, not really nice, I heard Bryan is good at hand-stand.

Today is the last day, as we went into GA (General Assembly) Plenary. The real UN session!! Interesting to see all delegates from all the GA here....

Overall, I felt that it is a good experience for me as it is my 1st THIMUN. I have also get to know more about my kids especially Xiang Yu, Hui Wei, Heng Jing and William. Thank you all for being so considerate. Especially thanks go to Malvin Lim..... Thanks Mentor.

After this conference, I realise something, I will miss my Sec 4 kids.... just get to know them and they are leaving....sad... hope to keep in touch.... especially to my brothers.

Enjoy yr holidays everybody. Signing off.... take care
